A few MSMGC foursomes were able to take advantage of a weather break this week (11/8&10) to play Chehalem Glenn and Cross Creek. Both had their advantages and disadvantages. Chehalem Glenn was great if you stayed in the fairway. The ground was definitely soft with thick grass. Many lost balls though if you ventured off the fairway.
Cross Creek on Wednesday turned out to be drier than expected with few lost balls if you ventured off fairway. The greens still need to thicken up but the fairway grass is well on its way to a recovery from the drought. Plus the ponds have filled back up.
Overall, darn good golf for November.
