Big Changes at the Bayou

The sale of the Bayou Golf Course in McMinnville, OR has transacted and big changes are on the way. Headwaters Concepts has added the Bayou to their impressive portolio of businesses. They are excited about the possibilites to make the Bayou a Family Friendly Restaurant and Event Center. Work has begun on the Mansion At the Bayou to open the restaurant as the first order of business.

Many more plans for the golf course and new additions are also in the works but this is a work in progress so no guarantees.

The fairways have been airerated and a new technique to inject sand into the greens has been performed. The greens will be sprayed for weeds and will be reseeded next spring. Chuck is still running local golf course operations and new equipment has been purchased to help with maintenance.

Looks like the Par 3 course is gona be eliminated in favor of a new driving range. But the area is large enough to accomodate new facilities; possibly a putt putt course and batting cages.

The current Pro Shop has been updated to begin food and beverage service in the coming weeks. Next year the Pro Shop will be rebuilt as the new business landscape take shape.

And the plans get larger in the future with the addition of a 75-room boutique hotel, corporate conference and events center.
